Backpacking at Rialto Beach

Six of us went backpacking at Rialto Beach over Memorial Day Weekend!

Very successful trip! Poppy (22 months) did great in the backpack, it was awesome to travel with others that she gets along with, no meltdowns, the beach was beautiful, and our camping spot was perfect. The only possible downside was that we had to pack in all our potable water which meant it took up weight on our packs and we had to calculate carefully about how much to use for cooking, and ration our water intake a bit. Not sure when we’ll backpack with her again, because I feel like she’s getting into the territory of being too heavy to carry but unable to walk very far on her own, but if we don’t go for a while this was a fun one to end on!
